60th Annual National Career Development Association (NCDA) Poetry & Art Contest

Theme: “The Evolution of Work: Careers in the Past, Present, and Future”

Now Open for Entries!

We are thrilled to announce one of NCDA’s largest and most cherished initiatives: The 60th Annual National Career Development Association (NCDA) Poetry & Art Contest! This annual celebration invites individuals of ALL ages—students, professionals, and community members—to express how work and careers connect us across generations. The 2025 theme, “The Evolution of Work: Careers in the Past, Present, and Future,” encourages participants to reflect on how career experiences have shaped our lives, imagine new possibilities, and explore how the world of work continues to evolve.

Why This Matters: The Poetry & Art Contest is more than a contest—it is a nationwide platform for self-expression, curiosity, and meaningful dialogue. Through visual art or written word, participants can:
  • Share their unique career stories and perspectives
  • Celebrate personal and community resilience
  • Explore the changing nature of work
  • Inspire others to dream boldly and innovate fearlessly
  • For learners, educators, and professionals alike, this contest is a vibrant opportunity to make career development personal, creative, and deeply impactful. It connects people of all ages with the idea that every career journey holds value, meaning, and power.
We encourage you to share this opportunity widely—with students, schools, organizations, and community groups—to ensure diverse voices and creative expressions are celebrated. Let’s champion the next generation of thinkers, creators, and dreamers!
